Verdict
The Toshiba Satellite C50-A P0013 is a low priced package designed for a consumer with simple needs. The absence of a user friendly OS and a poor RAM are common in such gadgets. Although the processor is just average, it has sufficient power to run basic tasks quite smoothly.

Display and Design
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50-A P0013 arrives with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display with the typical WXGA resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The Clear SuperView display is designed to adjust colors, brightness and contrast ratios in the right proportion to give a soothing visual experience.
 
The 33.3mm thick body does look chunky but makes up for it slightly with an appealing premium shiny silver coating that extends on to the palm rest. The flat keyboard is painted with black. It is accompanied by a touchpad sufficiently large enough to support multiple gestures.
 
Processor and OS
 
On the inside, this Satellite notebook carries an Intel Pentium 2020M 3rd generation processor sprinting at 2.4GHz and loaded on HM70 Express chipset. It is supported by a DDR3 RAM of just 2GB which can however be upgraded up to 16GB to experience faster response. It comes preloaded with DOS which means you will have to spend separately to install a user friendly OS.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50-A P0013 houses a normal webcam along with digital microphone that cancels background noise during video calls. It is loaded with 500GB SATA hard disk for carrying out the storage functions. A separate 8X SuperMulti DVD Drive gives you the scope to transfer data through disks without any hassle. Supported by Toshiba Enhancement, the stereo speakers deliver HD audio solution.
 
Battery and Connectivity
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50-A P0013 is fuelled by a 6 cell Li-ion battery. To meet the connectivity requirements of the user, the laptop is bundled with features like WLAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI out and digital media reader.
