Highlights
  • Amazon Echo 11 is priced in India at Rs 26,999.
  • The Alexa-powered smart speaker comes with hands-free voice controls, a large touchscreen display, visual recognition, and more.
  • The Amazon Echo 11 also features upgraded stereo speakers with spatial audio.

Three months after its global debut, the Amazon Echo 11 has officially been launched in India. The smart speaker comes with a bunch of upgrades over its predecessor, including a large 11-inch display in a relatively compact form factor and weight. The Amazon Echo 11 measures 255mm x 127mm x 182mm in dimensions and 1.3 kgs in weight. Moreover, the speaker is now oval-shaped instead of circular, with a 3D fabric finish, exuding a premium look.

The speakers have been upgraded with the same front-facing stereo setup as the 2025 Echo Studio, along with a custom woofer, to make the speaker sound fuller and wider than ever before. Furthermore, Amazon has added spatial audio support for the Echo 11, putting the user at the centre of an audio for a fully immersive listening experience. Since it is a smart speaker, it is backed by the voice assistant Alexa.

Additionally, the Echo 11 can be operated via its 11-inch touchscreen display, which features an FHD resolution and uniform bezels on all sides. Positioned at the centre of the top bezel is a 13MP camera that enables Visual ID. This feature detects when a user approaches, greets them, and surfaces personalised information automatically. This should make the interaction more fluid and intuitive compared to manually waking the screen or relying on voice commands such as ‘Alexa’ or ‘Hey Alexa’.

The smart speaker is powered by the in-house AZ3 Pro chipset, paired with 8GB of eMMC storage. The Echo 11 runs a new Vega OS out of the box, which introduces a revamped media control centre with dedicated pages for music, ambient sounds, podcasts, and more. The speaker also supports an Alexa+ home screen experience, which is yet to be introduced in India. The service is said to provide glanceable information and personalised content, including follow-ups based on recent conversations, information based on the user’s interests, and personalised notifications.

The Amazon Echo 11 can be paired with compatible security cameras and video doorbells for a more connected smart home experience. Additionally, the new Omnisensor enables the speaker to deliver personalised, context-aware routines like automatically switching on a smart fan or adjusting smart blinds when the temperature crosses a predefined threshold. Presence detection has also been improved, allowing the device to recognise when someone enters a room and respond accordingly by turning on lights, sharing weather updates, or triggering other relevant actions.

All of this comes at an asking price of Rs 26,999, making the Amazon Echo 11 costlier than the Echo 10, which debuted at Rs 24,999. That said, the upgrades, including improved speakers, a higher-resolution display, a newer processor, and enhanced software capabilities, appear substantial enough to justify the price increase on paper. The final verdict, however, will be reserved for our full review.

If the specifications have caught your attention, the Amazon Echo 11 is available for purchase via Amazon.in in Glacier White and Graphite colour options. In addition to that, Amazon has also introduced its Echo 8 (4th gen) in India, which delivers identical specifications but in a much more compact shape and size. The speaker is priced in India at Rs 23,999.
