
AMD has announced the Ryzen AI Halo developer platform and the Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 Series processors for developers, enterprises and OEMs building next-generation agent computers. The new platform will support local AI development and on-device execution, reducing reliance on cloud-based infrastructure for certain workloads. Let’s look at them in a bit more detail below:

Ryzen AI Halo is AMD’s compact AI developer platform that uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and up to 128GB of unified system memory. AMD says the system can run models of up to 200 billion parameters locally, giving developers more room to build, test and deploy agent-based and generative AI applications on a single machine. The platform also supports Windows and Linux, along with tools such as PyTorch, vLLM, llama.cpp, Ollama, ComfyUI and LM Studio.
AMD has also introduced the Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 Series for commercial PCs, mobile workstations and small form-factor desktop systems. Built on the Zen 5 architecture, the processors combine RDNA 3.5 graphics and an XDNA 2 NPU, with support for up to 192GB of unified memory and 160GB of VRAM. AMD says the lineup is ideal for AI developers, engineers and creators working with simulation, content creation and other compute-heavy professional workloads.

The Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 Series will begin rolling out through OEM partners, including HP and Lenovo in the third quarter of 2026. Ryzen AI Halo, meanwhile, will go up for pre-orders in June 2026 and will be available exclusively through Micro Center.
