Handheld consoles are cool once again. With improvements in chip design and software optimisations, we are looking at a category that is poised to become mainstream. With the ROG Xbox Ally series, ASUS is blurring the line between console and PC gaming, offering a full Windows 11 experience in a handheld format.
The partnership with Xbox could also mean better ecosystem integration for Game Pass users, expanding the reach of handheld gaming in India and given the growing appetite for performance-driven portable devices, ASUS’s push in this space could spark stronger competition for handhelds like the Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go. Of course, we’ll be talking about this more in our full review, so make sure you stay tuned for the same.
