EvoFox, the gaming brand from Amkette, has launched the EvoFox Deck 2 gamepad in India, expanding its Deck series. This new controller targets mobile gamers. It introduces Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, more customisation options, and broad support across platforms.
The controller is available for Rs 2,999 on major e-commerce platforms and in retail stores across India.
Building on the original EvoFox Deck, Deck 2 focuses on competitive and social mobile gaming, as per the brand. It is particularly suited for multiplayer games where response time and accuracy are crucial.
EvoFox presents it as a performance upgrade for both casual and competitive gamers. Deck 2 features Magnetic Hall Effect 3D joysticks that reduce stick drift and boost long-lasting durability. Unlike standard mechanical sticks, the magnetic sensing technology is supposed to cut down on wear and keep accuracy consistent over time. The company says the controller also includes Hall Effect L2/R2 triggers. These provide smoother pressure sensitivity for racing, shooter, and action games.
The Deck 2 goes beyond mobile game compatibility. It now works with cloud gaming and console streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and PlayStation Remote Play. It also enables retro gaming through emulator apps. Meanwhile, with Bluetooth 5.0, the controller is compatible with Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Nintendo Switch. This allows users to switch easily between devices.
On Android, EvoFox supports the Keylinker app. This lets users map on-screen touch controls to physical buttons. The feature offers controller-style input for games that do not natively support gamepads. For more experienced users, the Deck 2 includes programmable macro buttons (M1/M2). These let players execute complex actions with one press.
In terms of design, the Deck 2 has an ergonomic grip and an anti-slip textured phone holder. It includes a rechargeable battery with auto-sleep functionality. It uses a USB Type-C port for charging and comes with a carry pouch, emphasising its travel-friendly nature. With Deck 2, EvoFox seeks to combine mobile and console gaming by offering console-quality controls in a compact, affordable package.
EvoFox also incorporates custom RGB lighting with adjustable brightness and various lighting modes. Dual vibration motors enhance immersion. Meanwhile, Precision Mode and Accuracy Mode allow users to fine-tune joystick sensitivity for first-person shooters and racing games.
