Indian Gadget Awards 2025: Best Mobile SoC winners

The smartphone System-on-Chip (SoC) segment saw substantial performance upgrades this year, ensuring smooth gaming and flawless multitasking across devices. While major players like Qualcomm and MediaTek joined the 3nm bandwagon with their top-of-the-line offerings, Apple further enhanced its latest-gen processor by maximising raw compute power and efficiency. The NPUs on mobile SoCs also saw a significant leap, allowing them to complete complex AI tasks instantaneously.

Now, it’s time to recognise the smartphone processors that stood out in 2025. Judged by our esteemed jury of 20+ members, here are the SoCs that earned a title at the Indian Gadget Awards 2025.

Best Mobile SoC of 2025 – Affordable (Under 15K)

Winner: MediaTek Dimensity 7400

Having a capable mobile processor that keeps up with the demands of the masses, in terms of everyday speed, gaming, and battery life, is of utmost importance. While we saw a variety of chipsets pop up on affordable yet value-packed smartphones, the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 left an exemplary mark and has therefore bagged the Best Mobile SoC of 2025 under Rs 15,000 award at IGA 2025. Built on a 4nm process, this 2.6GHz octa-core chipset powered several popular phones this year, such as Moto G86 Power, Vivo T4R, Realme P4, and others.

Best Mobile SoC of 2025 – Mainstream (Under 30K)

Winner: MediaTek Dimensity 8450

In a category where competent raw power, sustained gaming, fast camera processing, quick video rendering, and efficient battery endurance are key, the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 earned the crown for the Best Mobile SoC of 2025 under the Rs 30,000 segment. Be it real-world usage or benchmarks, this processor impressed the jury by delivering excellent near-flagship performance in the mainstream category, thanks to its All Big Core design. OPPO utilised this SoC on the OPPO K13 Turbo and Reno 14 Pro this year.

Best Mobile SoC of 2025 – Premium

Winner: Apple A19 Pro

The prestigious Best Mobile SoC of 2025 award is bagged by the nominee that sets a new benchmark for sustained power, efficiency, and computational photography. While there were excellent offerings from all chip manufacturers this year in the premium segment, the Apple A19 Pro found on the iPhone 17 Pro models and iPhone Air delivered unparalleled single-core and multi-core performance, groundbreaking graphics in games, and efficient power delivery. This chipset has been fabricated on a cutting-edge 3nm architecture.
