JioBLAST and KRAFTON India have announced BGMI Gully Wars. The brand says it’s an open-for-all BATTLEGROUNDS Mobile India tournament built around the idea of giving grassroots players a competitive platform. With a Rs 10 lakh prize pool and registrations open until October 6, the tournament is designed for players who have built their skills within squads and local communities.
The competition begins with an In-Game Qualifier running from October 14 to 20. It is followed by a series of elimination rounds that narrow the field down to 16 teams competing in the Grand Finals. The format is open to all players, with no prior competitive experience required to register.
Players can register at Krafton India Esports by clicking the BGMI Gully Wars registration banner or navigating to the Tournaments section. New users can sign up on the platform, while existing users can log in through registered credentials or OTP verification.
BGMI Gully Wars sits at a different tier from KRAFTON’s established flagship events, the BGIS and BMPS. Those are designed for players already operating within the competitive ecosystem. Meanwhile, Gully Wars is positioned one step earlier, targeting the large middle layer of serious players who compete casually but have not yet found a pathway into organised competition. The Rs 10 lakh prize pool and open registration format are deliberate choices to lower that barrier.
JioBLAST, the joint venture between BLAST and RISE Worldwide Limited, a Reliance Industries subsidiary. It brings competitive entertainment expertise to the partnership, while KRAFTON contributes its BGMI ecosystem access and esports infrastructure.
For KRAFTON, Gully Wars extends its grassroots pipeline beyond the BGMI Campus MVP programme announced earlier this year, which focused on building communities within IITs and NITs. Gully Wars casts a wider net across the general player base, with the “APNA NAAM BANA” positioning framing competitive participation as a step toward recognition rather than just prize money. Meanwhile, for JioBLAST, it is an early high-visibility activation that establishes the brand within India’s mobile esports community.
