KRAFTON India has officially confirmed that BGMI Lite is coming to India. The developer announced that the lighter version of its popular battle royale title will launch by the end of 2026, although the announcement doesn’t detail any new information about the upcoming title.
BGMI Lite: what’s known
The new release is set to expand the BGMI universe to a much broader audience across the country. While the standard BGMI game requires mid-to-high-end smartphone hardware to run smoothly, especially at the higher 90-120fps range. Hence, the BGMI Lite version will focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
It will provide a streamlined option for players using entry-level devices or older smartphones that usually struggle with heavy frame drops and storage limits. KRAFTON has not yet revealed specific details regarding the download size, minimum system requirements, or exact gameplay features.
However, players can expect a smaller app package, optimised graphics, and smoother performance even on budget smartphones and poor networks. KRAFTON India has stated that it will share more information about features and pre-registration closer to the official launch date.
