User Reviews for VU LED40K160 40 inch (101 cm) LED Full HD TV

I bought this product and it was defective. There is a vertical line on the screen. I requested return request and the service engineer checked it and emailed Flipkart to either return or refund. But after several calls what I got from Flipkart is that my Product is not defective as per them and they can't replace it. Can anyone check it from their naked eye and let me know whether I am blind or senseless that if the product is okay why should I raise a concern. Flipkart you guys are really cheat as you never think of people and their hard work behind the money that they spend to buy products from you. nI request to all reviewers please don't go for this product nor from Flipkart. There are many other options apart from Flipkart.nIf there have been a negative rating for Flipkart I would be the one rated them.

My impressions after few days of usage. The delivery was prompt and as committed but installation took time as it had to be done at a different address from where TV was delivered. The installation was done by a technician with limited understanding of the product features so had to get in touch with the VU customer care for clarifying most of my doubts. One needs to consider the following points before making the buying decision on the make & model; · 4K resolution alone doesnâ??t mean better picture quality, its merely means there are 4 times as many pixels on the screen as a Full HD 1080p television. This doesnâ??t really matter if youâ??re going to be sitting more than 8-10 feet from the screen which will be the case with most of our living/bed rooms! Also 4K doesnâ??t make too much of difference in 40â? screen size. · The refresh rate of this TV is ONLY 60Hz compared to the norm of 120Hz being offered on most other brands, this is important criteria for better picture quality. Higher is always better. · The capacity of USB Hard Drive that can be connected is LIMITED to 500GB! Huge disappointment in the age where the storage capacity of 2TB are not so uncommon. · Limited support to wireless keyboards, tried connecting my Microsoft 400 wireless keyboard without any success. In fact upon contacting the VU customer care, got a recommendation that only Logitech K400 keyboard costing upwards of Rs 2.2K has been successfully tested by them for compatibility! · The picture appears as though its being played at 0.5X, basically it appears unnaturally fast! · The OS is Opera and not an Android, so limited apps etc availability from only Opera store · The sound quality is strictly ok. It needs augmentation, so you will require a good sound bar/home theater Having said the above, if you are looking at an inexpensive basic 4K smart TV than you may consider this model. Be clear you will be getting only what you pay for; so donâ??t create unrealistic expectations by like to like comparisons with TVs from brands costing twice as much. Another amusing update! I received a call from an executive calling on behalf of Flipkart, to seek confirmation that the installation was completed. She asked me to rate the service engineer performance and enquired if the engineer offered me extended warranty from VU. Upon informing that he didnâ??t, she asked if I would be interested to which I replied yes. She then kept insisting on the price at which I purchased the TV and saying that it alone will determine the price of extended warranty package!! When I refused to reveal the purchase price she assumed that I was not interested and concluded the call!! Itâ??s beyond me how purchase price determines the extended warranty cost?

True Gem TV Vu LED 40k16 102 cm (40) LED TVnI was looking out to upgrade my Old LCD 32" LG TV for long time. Looking into current trend and to be future ready I was more inclined towards buying a 4K Smart TV, so I started looking into Brands like Sony, Samsung, LG and was ready to spend upwards to 60K as I could find LG and Samsung 4K TVs in range of 63-67K with some limitations.nnAnd somehow during Flipkart Republic Day sale I came across Vu 4K TV offers, and got impressed with the features this TV is providing for almost half the price LG and Samsung are charging for their entry level 4K TVs. Then I started checking online reviews both written and Videos on YouTube. I also compared it against another budget brand Micromax. More I investigated and more I got impressed with Vu.nnFinally I decided to play the gamble and ordered the 40" VU 4K TV for Rs. 34240 (including Bank discount). It has been almost a week now since I am using this TV and it did not fail to impress me even once. I am still discovering new features every day.nnHere is my evaluation of Pros and Cons:nn1. Value for Money! Definitely....n2. Picture Quality- Excellent as it up scales HD channels to 4K making the Full HD content more clear and sharp, and you need to have a personal experience to believe me. The Ultrasmooth motion feature interpolates the frames making entire movie watching experience awesome as if you are watching everything realtime, though the picture refresh rate is just 60 Hz against 120 and 200 Hz provided by LG and Samsung respectively.n3. Sound Quality - Decent. With additional features of dbx-tv Audio Enhancements the audio quality is further improved.n4. Design - Slim and Sleek design, light weightn5. Features - Smart TV with Youtube, Netflix and other media consumption content, Opera browser to surf websites, can work with wireless keyboard and mouse (Though mouse works only for Opera Browser), Digital Surround sound, 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports. n6. Delivery- Flipkart delivery was as prompt as always got the product next day delivered.nnConsn1. The display panel doesn't seem to tough like IPS panel from LG. Quality is excellent, but even if you touch display lightly for cleaning you could see LCD fluid displacement on screen, which does not happen even on my older LG LCD.n2. One of the online reviews showed Android as OS on VU 4K Smart TV in India, but what I have received is an Opera Firmware instead.nnNothing else to make a note about, as this is the near perfect TV I have expected.

I was searching uhd TV. Thanks VU for for providing this model just 37000,which is available in market above fifty thousand with same quality and feature in other brands.

I did spend enough time to to get review on this product before buying with all level of expectations from end user perspective. Here are my comments...First we need to agree that all TVs has its own Pros and Cons. nn1. Smart Apps: Not all apps that you really use everyday and all time. Apps like youtube, netflix, weather are the one that we use regularly and are really good. - GOODnn2. Features: You have all the features like other brand televisions and even more than it. (Network -wifi, ethernet, Connectivity - USB, HDMI. There are enough ports to support you movie, tv viewing - USB and HDMI 2.0 (which supports UHD movies through HDMI). - EXCELLENTnn3.Picture Clarity - I have viewed sample UHD video from youtube app. 99.99% equal to other brand picture clarity. Ignored 0.01% because there must be some difference in clarity between each brands. I see some review of other brands that does not support UHD movies when you try viewing it through USB. VU supports it. I downloaded few UHD Showroom sample movies of different Brands from youtube and stored in my hard disk. I connected it to the VU tv. When I click Play, it starts playing in less than a second (ofcourse support of video format & Bit rate matters). The picture clarity is AWESOME!!!. There are differences in each brand picture clarity. Clarity interms of brightness, sharpness, contrast, smoothnes and not in terms of resolution. Resolutions is same for all brands. You can achieve optimal clarity(lightings) by adjusting few settings. But VU's default settings is more than enough for viewing UHD movies. nSD clarity and Full HD clarity are GOOD. Rarely picture jitters in uhd and full hd but it does not matters when normally see it unless you explicitly wanted to notice it.nI dont think it is a wise way to spend double of money for getting 0.01% picture clarity from other brands. nOverall - AWESOME!!!nnSupport - I received call from Flipkart for installation. Since i installed the TV myself, i never expect support unless I need Technical assistance. So no comments on it.nnSimply Go for this VU UHD model if you look for excitements by spending satisfied amount of money..
