Two words buy it!

With the new windows phone 7.5 update (available for free for all windows 7 phones), dell venue pro can give iphone a fair competition.nI won't talk about standard features like wifi, gps, proximity sensor, accelerometer etc. just features that makes this phone stand apart.npro's- n1) Pushmail (if ur office uses microsoft exchange server, the mail comes to ur phone even before it shows up in ur outlook!). and one click set up of other mail accounts.n2) Office 2010- create and edit word 2010, onenote files and excel 2010 documents. view and edit powerpoints. and all documents can be synced with microsoft skydrive so u can access these documents from anywhere.n3) people hub- phone retrieves facebook, twitter, gmail details for each of ur contacts automatically. Thus, just before u call someone, u can see his latest facebook status msg.n4) All popular apps in other platforms like Foursquare, WhatsApp, Glympse etc are also available.n5) Xbox live games!n6) Internet browsing is amazing. I use upto 5 tabs simultaneously with no issues.nncons.n1) Camera sucksnnIf u are looking for a smart business phone, go for it. You will not regret.

Show Stopper

I've been enquired by quite a few peeps who have seen phone in my hand. I use it along-with iPhone 4 but for some reason, people have appreciated Venue Pro in shadow of iPhone 4. I could be a result of: - n- Amoled screen : The screen is very vibrant. 4.1" screen area is just amazing whether you access heavy emails or consume heavy media. One important thing to note is that colours aren't over saturated as in SuperAmoled phones.n- Qwerty keypad : I've not found web bloggers to happy with keypad but to me its serves pretty well. n- Perfect choice of material : - Gorilla glass, shinny metal sides, ruberized top & bottom part makes up finely constructed hardware.n- After Mango update i.e 7.5, phone is super slick & UI is blazing fast. n- I use 5 email accounts, so linked a/c's and threaded view of emails have came as big bonus. n- There are obviously lesser apps as compared to iOS or Android, but with zune marketplace opening in India officially, access is granted to even paid apps. So, sufficient numbers of apps are present for day to day usage.n- Calender app is awesome. Reminders can be set and coming one is displayed on live tile.n- MS office & one note is implemented beautifully and useful too.n- I have xbox360, so I'm using same account on my phone which is just unbelievable. n- After Mango update, IE on WP7 has become one of the best mobile browsers around.nnThere are few irks too: -n- Being an active user of smartphone, battery life doesn't suffice to my expectations (iPhone wins here).n- Phone has got little heft.n- The dimension of phone isn't slim, thanks to slide-out qwerty.n- Camera is not the best 5 MP around.nnOverall, at 24k with 3k cash back, it is real steal. Phew, I bought it couple of months ago.

Excellent Smartphone

I have a Dell venue pro with Windows 7.5 and have not faced a single problem till date.nnThis is an excellent smartphone with stunning design and performance.Though, it is 15.2mm thick it stills feel very sleek .Thanks to the design.nIt could be little heavy though for some.As i was using HTC Touch Pro 2 earlier so personally i have no issues with the weight of the phone and find it handy though.nnPro'sn1.Excellent designn2.4.1 Amoled Screen, you would love watching videos.n3.Performance is very good. it's fast and responsiveness is great.n4.Internet explorer works great whether you are connected to WIFI or have GPRS activated.n5.Windows 7.5 is beautifula nd the integration with Facebook and other websites makes it worth trying.n6.The features and functionalities offered by a Smartphone being offered at that proce will certainly gives it a edge. nnCon'sn1. The audio quality is good but the volume is low when compared to most of the cellphones available in market. However, the speakers are loud and good but music listening using a earphone is not up to the mark.nnMy suggestion is Simply Buy it, and you won't regret the deal.

A product with loads of potential

Pros - n-------n1) Fast and quick UIn2) Easy toggle / management of Data / Wifi / and other settingsn3) The sms interface is very simple but better than my other pricey android phones (does lack a few features, but the slider keyboard takes care of everything else)n4) Google sync, facebook sync and Live sync is awesomen5) Battery lifen6) Integration of facebook, windows Live in the UI is brilliantn7) Full qwerty keyboard ;PnnCons -n-------n1) Lack of applications, market locked [I did manage to unlock the market without hacking]n2) WiFi settings do not allow static IPn3) Camera - could have been bettern4) No SKYPE ;(nnThis product has lots of potential, and the mango update just around the corner. I guess alot will change when the market is opened to Indian customers. Overall a very good phone, just a few things here and there which are not big an issue for now. nnI would like to add that the email sync support and the email client is also 5 star.nnPeople looking for second/additional phone should just go for this windows phone with their eyes closed. If this is going to be your first time product and have no idea about MS Windows Phone OS, I would recommend you to research about your needs and if this phone can cater to them, then just go for it.

The Best Buy

Dell Venue Pro is the best phone for all those who are used to a physical qwerty keyboard. I have compared this phone with other Windows 7 phone, and the Dell Venue Pro's Screen and Display beats the others. Even in the lowest brightness the screen looks better than other phones. So far so good. The only draw back is the Marketplace. Most of the apps are not available for the region.
