This tablet is really good for the price. Processing is fine. And so is the graphics processing. The only area in which the tablet lags is the battery life, but this is acceptable, at this price. Looks are good. The quadrant standard score is 2037, which is not good but this does not affect the performance much. If you want to purchase a low end tablet, then this is the right choice. Camera is not good for me and volume is on the medium side. Screen clarity is fine. USB on-the-go(OTG) function is nice. Supports pendrives and net dongles, this is not available in nexus-7 tablet also!!nI own a galaxy ace and some games fail to play on it(quadrand standard score 1375) but the Salora tab plays most of the games with sufficient performance. Overall a bang-for-buck!! nA tip for most android ics and jelly bean users, in the developer options in settings limit the background processes to 2 and it will improve the performance a little bit.nAnd yes, plz do not go on the quadrant score of galaxy ace, although the gap is only of 700 points but still the tablet's performance is far far better than the phone.nVideo playback is fine and as said the battery lasts for almost 4 hours while watching a movie.nHope you find this review helpful !!n:)

Things for which this tab can b used: 1. Browsing 2. Reading e-books 3. Watching moviesnU CANNOT play any games properly in this tab. nnThis tab's responsiveness is not at all good for gaming IMO. I'm not sure if it is the problem in touch response or the inefficiency of the processor. I suggest a few tests below to prove this. People who own this tab and say that it is good for playing games and the touch response is good, pls do these tests:na) Go to Settings > Developer Options and check the Pointer Location option. Now try to draw an S fastly with ur finger. U will surely see a lag in the letter S being drawn. (u do the same test in any other decent midrange android mobile and it will surely be instantaneous in drawing it)nb) Install Fruit Ninja game. Try to get Combos by cutting 3 or more fruits. I found it very difficult to get combos. The response of the tab will lag and so u will not be able to make a continuous cut. In Dead Trigger game I felt the laginess more. In almost all the games there will be lag.nnDisadvantages:n1. Laggy in response as u can confirm from the above tests n2. Slow processing (for e.g., when connecting pendrive throu OTG cable, it takes around 10 - 20 secs for it to load. But the same happens within 5 seconds in Lava XTRON tab)n3. Viewing angle is bad at one side(confirmed issue as the replacement piece also had the same issue). While holding the tab in portrait mode and tilt it to left or right ( I don't remember which side), the display gets dark on that side and u can't see what is present on the screen properly. U will face this difficulty when playing temple run game and titling to collect coins. n4. The earphones provided with the tab is of cheapest quality. U will not hear anything clearly using it. (it is not a problem if u have ur own earphones) Also the data cable wire and the charger wire is made of very cheap material. The wires don't look sturdy. It seemed like the wires will tear away on long term usage. n5. Loud speaker sound is very less (but it is not a problem if u use ear phones)nnAdvantages:n1. Resolution of the screen is goodn2. Good for watching HD or full HD videosn3. Cheap with good specs on paper (but u hv to consider the disadvantages)n4. This is a best buy if u want to use this tab for purposes other than gamingn5. Dongle connectivity is goodnnMy story: The first Salora Protab HD which I got had battery drain issue and also the response was not good. Then in the replacement which I got (believing that the laginess was not be present in the replacement) also the same lag was there. In addition to it, the charger had problem. It was charging the tab intermittently. For one sec it will charge and the next sec it will not charge and again charge-discharge. So again I complained to flipkart and I got my amount refunded. Then I bought Lava XTRON from flipkart spending Rs. 1000 extra. But now I'm very much satisfied with XTRON and it is far far better than Salora Protab HD for playing games. As gaming was my most important requirement, I am disappointed by this tab.nnAnd about the reviews: I don't understand how there are so many positive reviews, also how people say games like dead trigger run smoothly and touch response is good!!! Either those people should be new to use android touch screen device or they are accepting the drawbacks as this tab is a little cheaper than other tabs with same specs. But I will NOT recommend anyone to go for this tab if u wanna play games...........nAlso some ppl seem to just review the product without buying and using it. Bcoz this tab does not have GPS and by mistake Flipkart had earlier put that it has GPS in the specification. Later they corrected it. But I was able to see reviews that it has GPS. I request Flipkart to monitor these kind of misleading reviews and remove them.

I bought this tab on 6 May, 2013 for Rs.5500 from flipkart.nnProblems what i observedn-------------------------------------n1) Within a month, it started showing wrong battery level. If i put it for charging at 20% battery level, within 30 mins it is showing battery status as 100%. Also it showing wrong battery consumption level while using. I have downloaded Battery Doctor App from Google Apps to find out the problem, even that is also showing wrong battery level.nn2) It gets over heated, if u use more than one hour.nn3) While playing Subway surfers game, it have identified time lag between touch & response. Same thing with Templeton Run game also.nn4) Cheap quality Charger & ear phones. The charger gets overheated while charging.nn5) I just bought this tab blindly considering many positive reviews in flipkart, now i got realized that i should not buy any product based upon positive reviews given.nn6) My suggestion is to go for a branded one, even though it is costlier than these cheap products.

Using this tablet for two days and here is few points about the tablet: Best features: 1. Android Jelly Bean 2. Ram: 1 Gb 3. Better display: 1024 x 600 pixels, 180 Pixel Density 4. 3G Dongle Support via USB 5. Slim: 9.9 mm 6. GPS support 7. Looks are great and easy to hold Cons: Battery life is average

I bought this product in April,2013 from flipkart. After using the product for 20-25 days the charger has gone bad. The USB charger was working for sometime. But after 10-12 days USB charger has also gone bad. I had called the service center for Bangalore location that was mentioned in the Salora site but they denied saying that they are not the service partners for Salora. After a month I tried calling the customer care no(9582710400). which is mention in the Salora site. After lot of try I got to speak with the customer care executive and the same guy has given me a phone no# 7829904191 whose name is Satya who looks after the service for Salora in Bangalore location. Now I am chasing this person Satya calling him almost everyday from last 3 to 4 weeks but this person is not picking up the call and I am suffering as a buyer of this product.nnEven my friend who has used this product had same problem and he tried to get this serviced in Bangalore . But all his efforts gone in vain. He called up many times to these people and He couldn't get anybody in Bangalore to service it. nnNow I would like to caution all these buyers who are planning to buy this because of its cost,nn* There is absolutely no service available for this product even in city's like Bangalorenn* Imagine how much problem I have been facing in-spite of having the warranty till now.
