I am a sucker for stuff which is not easily available in the market. I guess Xiomi / Flipkart ganged up together to take advantage of this stupid Indian mentality. They create artificial scarcity of product by asking you to register for this product first and then wait for the given time and date to add this product in your cart.nnSo guys, like a fool 2 minutes before the sale started I started staring at the screen and watching the counter as if my life depends upon it. So as the moment came I immediately clicked on the 'BUY' button and I was exhilarated to see that I was able to pick up this phone on Flipkart.nnI then like a stupid fool started gloating over this as if I have achieved something, as if I have won a gold medal or something.nnAll this is OK, fine till I started using the product. There are glaring defects in this product.nn1. It heats up very fast once you start browsing the internet, use the apps like whatsapp or play games like Temple Run.nn2. The MI browser keeps crashing and displays the POPUP every now and then. "We are sorry that MI Browser is not working. Click the send report button to submit the Bug report or click on close button".nn3. It hangs when you are clicking photos and there is an incoming call at the same time.nnSo my euphoria over the possession of a phone which was difficult to get in the first place turned in to disappointment. This journey from feeling like a winner to ending up like a looser just took 2-3 days.nnFor all the prospective buyers please beware that please don't get in to this cheap thrills business.nnI reported this to Flipkart with the request to please nn1. Fix this phonennORnn2. Exchange this product for a new phone if sure that the new product will not have such defectsnnORnn3. Give me a refund.nnI got a call from the Flipkart executive that they are willing to replace defective phone with a new phone provided I have the original packing. And my god damn luck, I don't have the original card board packing. nnIf anyone with little bit of common sense is hearing out there, I don't need a new phone. I just need a phone without any defects.nnI challenge any one from Xiomi / Flipkart to deny that these defects are figment of my imagination and Xiomi Note -4G is a good product.nnAlso I think we Indians have to learn that all this propaganda of asking you to register and keep you with awaited breath for the sales to begin is a false propaganda. Xiomi Red Note - 4G is just an ordinary product and not something to gloat over. I wish that Xiomi / Flipkart start treating Indian customers with little bit of respect and provide quality phones in the Indian market.
i brought redmi note 4g 15 days back from visakhapatnam andhra pradesh. Now i got probelm of not charging when contacted they said to bring the phone personaly to nearest service center which is 800 km away. It costs around 5000.00 per trip and 4 days of time spent. In my estimate i have to again visit the service center to recieve which ( cant they do immedaitely ) will take another 5 days and Rs5000.00 expenses.nMy loss of pay for 10 days will come around Rs 10000.00. For Rs 10000 phone i have spend Rs 20000 as per redmi customer care. Is this make any sense and i felt cheated by both flipkart and xiamoni. when they cant even arrange courier service to courier the product to nearest service centers, then what for they selling phones with out service point in that city. And also if i service it private they say warranty is viod. what a fool we are Indians.nSorry for writing this, iam very very fedup with this cheating act.
Overall Phone is Awesome! nStrongly suggest, Purchase it but dont expect its could be repairable.nnI have purchased this phone and by my mistake it was water damage,I called customer care and they guided me to the service center Pune, Fortune computers HCL. and nightmare start now. nnThey have collected phone with Rs.250 as a non-refundable charge and at same time committed me to update about estimate in 2 days, but they dont updated me anything till 5 days and a Indian customer I tried to call them for almost 100 times but they did not responded a single time.nnSo the sixth day I visited HCL, Fortune Computer Pune and came to know the office has been closed, Surpised! I found new address from security and visited to new office, at new office I waited over 2-3 hours to get the status of phone. They returned me the phone with just a verbal estimate of Rs.12000, I requested them about to provide proper estimate and that time they have written in the jobsheet expense around 8300.nnSo what I found about service center:n1. Not a single customer are satisfied with the service center and behavior of the staff.n2. They are just collecting Rs.250 from each customer and making them fool. n3. Buy this cell but dont expect that its repairable, specially from service center. nnAt least Samsung HTC are costly but customer can Trust on them.nnStrongly suggest, Purchase it but dont expect its could be repairable.
PLease don't buy this , im suffering and flipkart has stopped return of electronic devices. They don't reply to mails. 10k down the drain
I will not write about the specs of the phone. just one point which bothers me is we dont have the SAR information on the handset. There is a code on every smart phone which is standard shortcut for knowing the SAR value of your phone. *#07# is that code. But on all Xioami phones there is no information on this shortcut. I cant trust a company who does not reveal the correct SAR values on the handset, even if the company gives me the features of I phone 6 for the price of 10k. There is a standard SAR value for each country and all the handsets must meet the standard, Dont know how India is allowing to sell these cheap mobiles which does not even provide the SAR value. For your Inforamation High SAR value means HIGH radiation from Phone and High health hazards. If you care for your health, please be informed about the SAR of mobile you are purchasing. Dont blindly go for specs.
