Display, OS and processor
The iPad Mini features a 7.9-inch IPS touchscreen, with a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels. It measures just 7.2mm in girth, and weighs 308g. Powering the show is an Apple A5 chip and 512MB of RAM. The tablet runs iOS 6, and can be upgraded to iOS 7.
Camera and storage
A 5MP iSight camera sits at the back, with features like geotagging, touch-to-focus, face detection and 1080p video recording. A 1.2MP front camera can be used for FaceTime. There is 64GB of internal storage, but no microSD card slot for expansion.
