Do not buy this laptop from flipkart as you will get a refurbished product. I had to return my laptop twice and finally decided to get a refund. ASUS product is top class no doubt but you will be better of finding a local ASUS distributor and go pick it up yourself, which is what I did eventually after more than a month of head banging with flipkart, Seller and ASUS support. Everyone was helpful in the process but I still didn't have a working Laptop in my hand till end :( This Laptop is cheaper if you buy directly from distributor.
I'm writing this review after using the laptop for 1 week & i'm really satisfied by d performance of d laptop.. pros: 1. obviously intel i5 4th gen 2.looks.. very elegant look with awesome finishing 3.no heating issues at all 4.keyboard is really comfortable & big touch pad 5.instant power on( less than 3 secs) 6.it has 2 usb 3.0 ports & 1 usb2.0( flipkart mentioned that both 1 only) 7. very slim laptop compared to others in this range 8.awesome battery backup Cons: 1. even though graphics card is 2gb it's is of class 3 category.. hence u cant play very high graphic games...i couldn't play NFS rivals smoothly, but could play prototype 2 smoothly 2. you cant install WINDOWS 7 on this device as ASUS doesnt provide drivers for win 7..hence u have only choice windows 8 or linux..... 3.speakers are not that great. finally i can say if u are media core gamer & if want laptop with nice looks good processing speed this laptop is for U....:)
This is a reallly a nice and cheap laptop i brought it of 41.2k,,,,i will not waste any time and and say the pros and cons PROS: 1. Core i5 4th gen its really fast and amazing!!! 2. Nvidia 720M 2GB is enough for medicore gaming 3. 4GB ram is nice with one xtra slot, u can add another 4gb to it!!! 4. Really smooth, no heating issues 5. Battery last for about 4 to 5 hrs of normal use...... 6. Aluminium casing ,,,,, big touchpad,,,, 7. Speaker is betttter than expected!!! 8. 750GB hardisk, dvd drive is nice 9. Slim and light,,,, 10. Its very fast in boooting!!! Cons : 1. When typing fast the keyboard woobles a litttle!!!! (it maybe the problem with only my laptop) 2. Screen is not that sharp as expected!! 3. Touchpad is kind of modern type of touchpad which i dont like!!!
I don't know if guys who are reviewing here have actually seen the laptop if there is an extra slot for RAM upgrade. But there isn't one. Flipkart you should check & amend details provided here. I bought additional RAM which remained unused. But the laptop is really a good deal from ASUS. No compromise whatsoever.
This is my first laptop so i carefully read all the reviews and all and decided buying this ..! i bought it from a local retailer which was quiet higher than the price now!! truly saying when i saw this laptop i really couldnt believe how slim it was with a dvd r/w!! truly very well built !! Asus has given more importance to the design !! hats off ASUS!! then i really had a mind in full time gamin but after bying this laptop i tried playing som of the modern games i really felt bad about the battery backup while playing games !!one of the main con from this laptop was the more heat dissipation while playn games n all!!! even though the nvidea gt720m supports moderate games!!! other wise this laptop gives a battery backup of 4 to 4 and a half hours for sure!!!! PROS: awesome trackpad!( you will surely love it if you are using win8) spacious keyboard! wide screen slim look CONS: very hard to keep it clean all the time!! only 2 hr backup while playing heavy games! finally!!!!! a great product you will really wont regret buying!!! happy shoping
