Verdict
Laptops are far and abundant and it may get difficult to choose one which suits everyone's budget while still giving great computing. The ASUS X552EA is one such device which provides good value for money for a basic laptop for everyday needs along with decent gaming capabilities.
Excellent computing at a very affordable price
Display and Design

The ASUS X552EA is a sturdy laptop with a large screen of 15.6 inches with HD TFT anti glare coating. The display resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels making it sufficiently capable of playing high resolution videos with ease. It is encased in a black plastic unibody with chiclet style keyboard giving it a stylish and modern look and feel. 

Processor and Configuration

The laptop comes with a 1.5 GHz quad core processor from AMD based on the A4 chipset model. Being a quad core enables it to perform various tasks simultaneously along with giving high read write speeds. It is powered by a 4GB DDR3 RAM with expansion slots allowing it to be upgraded to 8GB for higher performance. The graphics is taken care of ATI Radeon HD 8330 GPU which gives it superior rendering capabilities while performing as a decent gaming laptop. 

Multimedia and Storage

The laptop is integrated with a 1.2 MP front facing camera with a 720p resolution. Combining this with high speed internet capabilities enables it to connect seamlessly to any video conferencing. It also comes with a Multi DVD RW drive allowing extra storage of media. A 500GB hard disc takes care of its storage needs. 

Connectivity and Battery

The device is powered by a 4 cell LI-ion battery, with power supply of 40W AC adaptor W and is handy for providing over 5 hours of run time. 2xUSB 3.0 port, Bluetooth, WLAN, a HDMI port, and a multi-card slot are available for connectivity. these options allow for connectivity by various medium and is great for connecting to the internet or sharing media.
