Overall: I have this laptop,,buying from IMPHAL 10 months back, ,its very good for normal work and till now there is no problem ,,stylish and looks very smart

The ASUS X553MA-XX516D is a simple affordably priced laptop capable of handling only basic computing needs. It features an average processor along with poor RAM, which is nothing abnormal in this price range. It doesn't have any user friendly software platform as well. The presence of a powerful optical drive is commendable.

Display and Build

The ASUS X553MA-XX516D sports a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit TFT Colour display which offers decent viewing experience with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The simply designed black coloured outfit has an impressive weight of 2.1kg but can cause problems with a thickness of 36.5mm.

Configuration and OS

Doing the duty under the hood of the ASUS X553MA-XX516D is a 1.8GHz Intel Celeron quad-core N2940 processor from the fourth generation family. It is paired with a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM which operates at 1,600MHz and is further expandable up to 4GB through the two DIMM slots. The inbuilt Intel HD graphics unit is capable of handling only simple games and videos. It is devoid of any user friendly OS which is okay in this price range.

Camera and Storage

For taking care of the online video calling needs of the user, the ASUS X553MA-XX516D is armed with a webcam and microphone. The 500GB SATA hard disk operating at 5,400rpm provides plenty of space for creating a library of files. It also gets a SuperMulti DVD Drive so that you can load files on disks and retrieve them when required. 

Battery and Connectivity

Fuelled by a 4 cell Li-ion battery, the ASUS X553MA-XX516D has the efficiency to render uninterrupted service for a maximum period of 4.5 hours. From the connectivity and networking point of view, it supports HDMI out, one USB 3.0 slot, WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, WLAN, Ethernet port and digital media reader.
