My entry into the DSLR world and i chose the 550D. after about a week, i am one happy and proud owner. It was either a 550D or a Nikon D5100 for me. Both are good and both have their pros and cons. I chose the 550D. I was told i would get the Cam on the 4th, but received it on the 5th. But that was within their 3 days delivery time :). So no complaints. I was very eager (and anxious) to get my hands on this beauty. And therefore kept calling the Support, who btw were very courteous. Provided the right information and not once did they mislead me. The cam and the other freebies were packed very well. Overall, a great experience with flipkart and i'll definitely be back for more. Would also highly recommend flipkart. Safe and Fast, with good EMI options.

i oredered for this camera after extensive research on the net and of course some freinds from the feild of photography. i must say, it was worth every bit of effort put in. A masterstroke camera and definately worth the money, anybody who has this passion of photography and wants to graduate from the point to shoot to the DSLR should make the entry with this piece...enjoin every bit of it. As far as the service of Flipkart goes..i m impressed with their packing, update on the order track and the way the whole transaction was handled. i had orderd for cash on delivery and let me admit nobody sends stuff worth 38k just like tht. Thank u flipkart, it was worth it:)

After doing my research on pricing, I figured out that Flipkart is cheapest (across online and offline). Placed my order on Tuesday evening and got it delivered on Thursday afternoon. Ten on ten for the following: 1. Packaging 2. Timely delivery 3. Freebies I wanted to place an order for 600D, but figured out that it is just 550D swivel LCD for another 10.5k. I did not want to pay so much just for an additional LCD feature. So I ordered 550D. Flipkart rocks!

I needed a DSLR with wide-telephoto requirements and my budget was not more than 50,000 INR. Browsing through Flipkart, I zeroed in on this model which has a 550D body with 18-135 mm lens, a free DSLR bag, a 4 gig SD card and also an awesome tripod. This was the best deal I could strike anywhere at that point of time and so I went for it. The 550D is one of the very good cameras (in the medium price range) and it being sported with a 18-135 mm lens gives a lot more advantages than when compared to a 18-55 mm lens. Pros: -- Wide range of photography -- Good at all ranges of focal length -- Excellent flash -- Good battery life -- Amazing clarity in daylight (Unbeatable) Cons: -- Average picture quality in low light -- Flash becomes a must in low light for good picture quality Verdict: If your budget is anywhere starting from 30k, I would say please do not waste money on low-end cameras and regret it later, go for the Canon 550D with 18-135 mm lens. Just one hell of an amazing deal.

I like this camera ( little amateur but in budget, got it in 2 days but due defects in the cmos had to get it replaced. CMOS has some err 80 beware ... that's a dead end. the replaced camera works fine. could have just bought body and saved on another 5k-6k 18-55 is useless its the lowest a canon can get :P although it has IS ... camera is pretty poor at higher ISO... works just fine at lower ones..actually amazing... 17.9 MP is just a showoff... video mode has auto ISO which will annoy you if you are a fan of picture clarity. there are lot other things to like .... like its continous shooting mode, self cleaning, 3.7-FPS, awesome battery power can work wonders if you've got a good lens-kit. over all a good purchase for amateurs if NIKON 5100 is not around.
