Dear Mr. Joy in other aspects the camera is same but the battery is Lithium Ion battery comparing with 2 AA batteries for the other model. The weight is reduced by 40 gms and this one is more compact. Hope now u understand the difference and why the price is high

Planning to buy this camera,as you can see no much difference between SX170 & SX160,the change is in the battery SX170 gives 400 shots for the battery whereas SX160 gives 40-50 shots hardly on its AA battery.

I was planning to gift this to a family, didn't find the latest version anywhere but only in flipkart, Was really happy with build quality and im sure they found the camera good. Speedy delivery, very well packed.

The Main difference between this New Model and the older models is the Rechargeable Battery..!! Li-ion...while the cheaper models need/use Alkaline batteries (AA)

VERY NICE CAMERA. CLARITY IS VERY NICE. BATTERY BACKUP IS ALSO VERY NICE. HAVING A NICE TIME WITH MY NEW CAM. WILL SUGGEST ALL MY FRIENDS TO BY THIS. AND THE RED COLOR IS AWESOME.
