I am using this camera for 1.5 years now. Simply awesome one I like to carry always on the go. Pros: 1. Best in the pro zoo range. 2. Gives good quality very close to DSLRs. 3. 35X zoom is really great. 4. Really worthy for its price tag of 25K. 5. Auto stabilization is nice. Cons: 1. Too slow in focusing moving objects. 2. It is a bit tough to get desired focus on zooming beyond 20x 3. Not good for macro shots

Go for it. Ive been using it for one year. I am also using it in a professional way. PPl get confused with pics thinking that it was shot out of a dslr. The best buy for the money with a powerful monster lens 840mm. The video and sound quality is too too good and i have no words for Sx30 IS. Just go for it. Best Digital camera for still photography... Shooting mode is good but can improve... Manual mode is good enough for amateur photographers like me... Recommend this over Nikon, Sony with similar specs.

people gave it 5 star..surely they've reason. probably my camera has some particular problem of it's own. i was never happy with picture quality and focus. moreover i purchased it for 25 K.. gradually this camera had flash problem, shutter problem etc etc.. i felt hopeless & purchased 1 nikon d3100 ...and later a d7000...i'll never purchase anything from canon again, that's all.. i'm happy with my nikons.. i gave this camera to my little son to play with :D flipkart should have an option for -5 * :D

I have been using this camera for the last 4 years and the results have been simply awesome. The 35X optical zoom and 140x digital zoom can snap stunning pictures and videos more than 100+ metres. The digital quality of full HD 1280 pix are true-to-life and 16:9 ratio are great. It is a cherished possession after more than 30 years of photography using Gevabox, Click IV, Agfa Isoly II, Asahi Pentax K1000, Minolta XGM, Canon F-3, Yashica FX-D, etc. It is a good budget camera value for money which can be a great buy for amateurs and professionals alike.
