read till bottom --------------------------------------- am deleting initial review cause tat doesnt matter anymore --------------------------------------- after 1 discharge-charge cycle battery wear jumped up to 1.9% --------------------------------------- Updated BIOS & now there's option to set start charging & end charging % which i set to 75 & 80 respectively. Lesson learnt from vaio --------------------------------------- After about 2weeks of use, the touchscreen started acting up. when i touch it @ a spot, the screen senses multiple touch points sometimes for 2seconds or 5mins... the right side speaker's sound is also cracking... not good, not good @all DELL --------------------------------------- flipkart replaced it! kudos! but heyyyyyyyyyyy Dell sent me a refurbished piece it seems... great! theres dust in the seal pack box & the way power cord & charger is packed, its definitely repacked piece & some1 did a bad job @it. also the way its plastic wrapped & the folded up foam... ahhh... whoever re-packed it, either wasnt in the mood or just careless... well, the display screen is also yellowish & bottom left corner has a greenish patch area (hope it doesnt grow). --------------------------------------- this replacement piece over-heats! & i see slight cosmetic issue. obviously refurbished :-( this is becoming a nightmare purchase. the keyboard is kinda bulged up so it flexes when typed. -------------------------------------- 4.8% battery wear --------------------------------------- again same touchscreen problem. one touch is being detected as multi-touch --------------------------------------- touchscreen doesnt respond anymore... wonderful...!!! dell is pathetic... gonna contact flipkart & lets see what happens... hoping against hope tat i'll get my money back...!? CRAP !!!!!!!!!!!! --------------------------------------- Un-believeable!!! Flipkart cooperated!!! picked up the very next day & issued refund... WOW!!! kudos flipkart... no other words big thumbs up to flipkart & big thumbs down to dell
This laptop is a budget one. It has needed memory 500GB hard drive and a 4 GB ram. It has a quad core pentium processor, which is not as goos as inter i3, but definitely it is snappy for web surfing and watching videos/streaming. Since most users will be performing the above stuff most of the time in their laptops, it should server the purpose. Most important thing amount this laptops it's look. It has a metallic finish unlike lower end inspiron models .To normal eyes, this is something definitely better than XPS carbon fiber. I received a lot of complements from people around. Screen resolution is not the best, but it is sharp and has very good viewing angles. Also it is very light weight compared to my previous Inspiron Duo model. Dell associate added a leather sleeve free of cost for my purchase, when I did directly through them. I own this laptop for 4 months now, and this is my all day laptop. So far no issues. Unlike other comments, I never had either battery issue or screen problem. I am happy with this laptop and definitely would recommend to others. Also considering flipkart's customer service, anyone can purchase this.
Please let us know the model : Dell Inspiron 3147 2-in-1 Laptop or Dell Inspiron 3148 2-in-1 Laptop I suggested this Dell 2-in-1 Laptop to one of my friend. but user experience is so bad then I will ask him to keep away from buying this.
Flipkart selling this products fresh but their warranty already expired as Dell service center. Very bad experience. Even not satisfied with the product.
Nice product ( not wow !). Got a very good deal from Snap deal when I bought it last year. No issues till now. Even upgraded free to windows 10. Over all happy, but, windows...(there is always something in them to crib about, is n't it ?)
