An Honest Review :nnFirst of all, this laptop is just amazing in this Price Range...!!! 100% genuine , ordered from IT World Seller.nnIt has perfect combination i5 + Nvidia geforce 840M + touch Screen + Backlit Keyboard.nnI had done lot of research on laptop before buying this ,lots of research means lots of research.. i went to live stores everywhere to check this particular piece and have compared with laptops which are coming in range of above 50KnnPerformance is good. If anyone who is confused among dell, lenovo and HP, i will suggest to got with this laptop because in other brands nyou will not get Nvidia geforce 840M + touch Screen + Backlit Keyboard as whole package in this price range and Nvidia geforce 840M itself a beast in sense of gaming.nnIt has 3 modes of backlit. High , Medium and OFF. These backlit looks like diamonds on your keyboard in night.nOverall, just go with this Awesome laptop.
A surprisingly all-round package: i5, Touch screen, DVD drive and a decent graphics card. This variant of the 3542 model has got Nvidia Geforce 840m instead of the common 820m. This is a big deciding factor for gamers. A lot of unplayable games suddenly become playable at low/medium settings. Also, this the model from which Dell starts providing the backlight feature in its recent laptops. Backlight is cool! A very good, rather the best touch screen model around Rs 50,000.nnCons: Webcam not good, Touchpad a bit stiff and only one memory slot (upgrading means throwing away the factory RAM). But it's advertised as 2 memory slots in flipkart. That should be wrong.

When I placed order, WS Retail was not available.n2. After reading reviews of all sellers, I bought the product it from KHInfoline seller (no Flipkart Advantage) for ? 45990 + 300 shipping for delivery within 5 days.n3. The product was packed next day of placing the order but was dispatched after 2 days, just so as to meet the delivery time at the edge.n4. Two days after placing order, it was available with another seller having Flipkart Advantage at ? 45790 for next day delivery at ? 90 and no charges for delivery within 3-4 days. (So I could have saved ? 410 and had delivery a day before than what I got.)n5. Warranty was registered 5 months ago before I ordered my laptop. I have contacted dell and they have updated it.
i purchased this (laptop + Dell Targus) bag from dell showroom on the republic day for Rs 43000 /-nlol flipkart, snapdeal ,amazon are selling it at higher price[ surf their websites today 10-feb ] . i would suggest you to visit dell showroom before purchasing it online nnncons :n nbuild of the laptop ( plastic body) . looks likes a suitcase(a friend said it ) i mean not so stylish . God knows what would happen to it , if it falls accidentally (parts would break/crack cant tell how many )nninitially i had problem using the keyboard but later got used to it trust me its so soft to typennDisplay is very essential feature while buying laptop . i ve compered it with hp laptop(pavilion g6) with same resolution . hp wins over hd clarity .I am not saying its worst and not even saying its amazing . Dont buy it if u want a full hd resoultion laptop otherwise u would regret . i would recommend hp laptops for hd display . One reason if i would ve to sell it would be because of display otherwise its value for money notebook nntouchscreen laptop(centre of attraction among college friends + new feature )nsince its touchscreen ,so it would consume battery .nI have to clean it everytime (fingerprints and swipe marks ).Get a screen guard nsometime its really irritating when we are doing some work and ppl are touching on icons of screen.(dont worry u can temporarily disable it on windows and ubuntu )nnprosnnkeyboard backlightnntouchscreennni5 + 4GB RAM + 1 TB HDD +2GB nvidia graphicnngaming experience is awesome no lags nnbattery last for about 2-3 hours (lol sometimes its shows 14 hours of charging but it does not stay on for that time)

Product was delivered 3 days before the scheduled delivery.nnProduct Review:n1. Value for money laptop.n2. Touch screen which is rare in this price range (although touch is ok).n3. Nvidia GeForce 840m is the best GPU you can get in this price range. Games like BF3, 4 , Far Cry 3, 4, Fifa 15 and the upcoming GTA V can be run in medium to high settings fluently.n4. A backlit keyboard which is again rare in this price range (it looks beautiful).nnCons:n1. It is not 15.6 inch screen but 15 inches only , so don't get fooled by the description.n2. Touchpad is a disappointment.n3. WLAN card (Wireless) is a little weak for long range, but still its ok , you can live with it.n4. 4GB RAM, a little low considering the price range , should have been 6GB , but you can upgrade it.nnAll in all it is a good rig for this price range. I don't know why many people are buying other variants of this machine (other variants of dell 3542) which has AMD r7 265m GPU which is a lot slower than GeForce 840m.The only thing that's better in those laptop is the ram , which is 8gb, although GPU matters the most in gaming , not the ram (from experience).
