Rotten Tomatoes9-1-2001 is a mixed bag of police procedural content that is made for the thriller buffs. The series is based in the city of Los Angeles as it follows the first responders, including police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and dispatchers, in their struggle to keep the citizens safe. While the writing is fresh and offers a lot of binge-worthy content for those who love a classic police procedural, it is rather confused in its approach. It tries to be a serious drama series in some sequences, and balances it off with some humour in the other. Honestly, shows like this are better off having a single genre, which works best for audiences who love linear plots. That said, it does a good job in showing the complexities that these officials face on a daily basis. While it may be regarded as a trashy and far-from-reality show, it is definitely a good one for the weekend, with some tasty popcorn.
