The battle of Dunkirk took place between May 26 and June 4, 1940. The Lee-Enfield rifles seen in this movie at close up reveal them to be the Model Rifle No. 4 Mk I, which were not in military service until 1941 and the other being the Model No. 4 Mk 2 which were not manufactured until 1949.
