Well known for his believes in fairness, justice, and fair play, Raja Prithviraj holds sway over a large rural territory in India. His word is the law, and no one would dare to cross swords with him. Prithviraj lives with his only daughter, Tejeshwani, in their exclusive palace. Years later, Tejeshwani has now grown up, attends college, on occasion with her pet cheetah, meets with handsome young fellow collegian, and after several misunderstandings and confrontations, both fall in love with each other. When Prithviraj comes to know of Arjun, he invites him to his palace, insults him, and asks him never to see Tejeshwani again. Watch what Arjun and Tejeshwani do to change her father's mind, knowing fully well that no one in their community will stand up against the Raja.

Mamta felt cheated by the makers She was promised a meaty role. But the end result had her doing nothing. She stated she only agreed to work with Jay Mehta because the producer told her she would have a good role.
Raaj Kumar was angry with the makers of the film. He was narrated his role and he liked it. His role was also shot the way it was narrated to him. But he later realized they had no story. They would just go on and shoot when ever anyone had dates . They eventually had no money and the film got delayed. To help the producer out,Raaj Kumar told the producer to forgo 75% of what was owed to him and shoot the film's climax. Not only did they not pay Raaj Kumar, they did not shoot a proper climax and released the film as it.
Pranlal Mehta registered the title "Indian Robinhood" in 1992. That may have been the original title for the film.
