The series ultimately ended because the Saban crew were left with no more B-Fighter Kabuto footage to adapt, the show was left on a cliffhanger. Their predecessor, V.R. Troopers (1994) also ended for the same reason.
Shadowborg's and Green Hunter Borg's costumes were re-used in Power Rangers Wild Force: Forever Red (2002) as remnants of the Machine Empire, who would plan to reactivate Serpentera.
Notably, this was of the few Saban shows to air on Fox Kids which did not include a crossover with "Power Rangers", though there had been plans to do so and a photograph even circulated showing the Hillhurst monsters alongside Blake Foster in costume. In 1997, the crossover occurred as a Power Rangers Turbo (1997) vs. "BeetleBorgs Metallix" (1997) comic.
Some of the monster costumes appeared in Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog: The Mystic Knight of Forest (1998) in repainted form as the Spectres of Banshee Woods. Among them are Scorpix, Shellator, Emily the Seed of Evil, Fangula Bat Monster, and Fernzilla.
Between 2005 and 2010 rumors appeared online about a spin-off of BeetleBorgs in the making titled "House Monsters". The show however never materialized.
