The film has has been universally panned by the press. Noted British film critic Mark Kermode was particularly vociferous, famously describing this film as "...mind bendingly terrible...", "...one of the worst films I have ever seen..." and "... I've seen a lot of very bad performances, but this is in a stratosphere of his own."
Completed in 2018, this film was shown at several film festivals that same year but failed to attract a distributor. It finally got a small UK and Ireland theatrical release through independent label 'Wildcard Distribution' in September 2022.
Michael Flatley produced, wrote, directed and starred in this film. Described by himself as a "passion project" and "a tribute to the golden age of cinema" he also financed its production himself as well.
