Mickey the former bank robber turned carnie (originally voiced by Bill Hader and briefly by Loren Bouchard) is now played by John Q. Kubin due to availability issues. Reporter Olsen Benner (originally voiced by Pamela Adlon) is now played by Nicole Byer due to issues of a white actor voicing a black character. Similarly, black Wagstaff student Harley (originally played by Katie Crown) is now played by Ashley Nicole Black. Jimmy Pesto (originally played by Jay Johnston) appears but has no lines, because Johnston was fired from the series following his participation in the United States Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021.
