Rita Moreno was the voice of Carmen Sandiego in Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego? (1994). She makes a guest voice appearance in this version as V.I.L.E. bookkeeper Cookie.
Of note for fans of the first animated series, Carmen's relationship to Zach, Ivy, and Player have changed; they are her sidekicks in the series. Also, Player is a more active participant in the series, acting as a hacker for the group rather than merely being called out to for help and showing up in the bookend scenes.
Dawnn Lewis plays the voice of the Chief as a tribute to Lynne Thigpen, who has played the Chief in many other incarnations of the Carmen Sandiego series.

Charlet Takahashi Chung for Julia Argent is also known for voicing the popular video game character D.Va from Overwatch (2016).
