IMDbCoherence is an independent science-fiction film that is a masterpiece in terms of storytelling, with a complex and intricately woven plot that keeps the audience guessing until the very end. The plot revolves around a group of friends who attend a dinner party on the night of an unusual celestial event, which leads to a series of mysterious and terrifying events. As the night progresses, strange things start happening, and the group begins to question their reality and their relationships with each other. Director James Ward Byrkit's attention to detail is evident in every shot, which shows the intricacies of mystery. The film's plot is uneasy and filled with paranoia, with a claustrophobic and tense atmosphere that captures the suspense of the story. Overall, the film is an excellent example of low-budget, high-concept filmmaking that manages to be both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Instead of scripts, the actors would each receive only a small paragraph (that only they would see) as their 'goals' for the day. This allowed for the story to unfold naturally and create genuine reactions in the other actors.
Relying on a low budget of $50K, the movie was shot over five nights in a single location with dialogue that was largely improvised.
The actor who plays Amir, Alex Manugian, is also the co-writer. He was essentially "the mole" who helped guide scenes if the actors went astray.
The director, James Ward Byrkit, wanted to use his own house as the setting of the movie. Since his wife was 8-and-a-half months pregnant and wanted a homebirth, she agreed to let him so long as he could do it in 5 days.
The set only had 5 crew members: 2 sound guys, the director of photography, the director, and producer Lene Bausager.
"Hugh: Yeah, we're in a different reality because the reality where I am from, my best friend didn't sleep with my wife. Mike: Hugh, do you not understand what I'm saying? This all started tonight, and if there are a million different realities, I have slept with your wife in every one of them."
"Hugh: So, listen to this. This is what he's written. "There is another theory: that two states continue to exist... separate and decoherent from each other, each creating a new branch of reality... based on the two outcomes. Quantum decoherence ensures that the different outcomes... have no interaction with each other.""
