A sequel to "Cop and Half (1993)." which came out 24 years earlier. The cover art of the name of the movie a similar style to the original but they used different colors for the word Cop and and in some posters they used different colors for each letter of the word Half.
The original "Cop And a Half(1993)," was in the movie theaters but this film was a direct-to-DVD movie.
The original movie also had a female captain called Rubio, but in this film the Captain has no last name and is just called Captain. The actresses who portray these character's have extremely similar personality traits.
At one point in the first "Cop And a Half(1993)," film they also wanted to go with a female costar opposite the lead of the film which back then was Burt Reynolds but they later went with Norman D. Golden II to play Devon Butler after his amazing audition. While in this film they went with Lulu Wilson who plays Karina Foley.
