    Larceny, adultery, sabotage and treachery. Yes, just your typical Christmas with the Dredge family! Twelve-year-old Joey Dredge is in trouble again. Between barbecuing the family dog, performing a self-burial and causing his intended step-father to consume a startling amount of hash, Joey learns a few life lessons from Albert, who despite his many vices may give Joey the strength to accept the past and embrace the future.

STORY

Story

'Crackers' won a Gold Award at the 1998 Flagstaff International Film Festival.

Glenn Robbins and Russell Gilbert were both considered for the role of Bruno, but they had to decline due to being busy with other projects. Peter Rowsthorn co-starred with them in The Comedy Company (1988). Rowsthorn and Robbins would both later co-star in Kath and Kim (2002) as step father in-law and step son in-law.

Kerry Armstrong was considered for the role of Hilary.
