Based on the life of Nashville guitar player Hank Garland.

Epilogue: "Hank did return to the Opry stage in 1978 for one final performance. He passed away two weeks before we began production at the age of 74, leaving behind family, friends and admirers who loved him come, and remain inspired by his music. We dedicate this film to his memory."
