A similar plot to the movie "Notting Hill(1999)" which came out two year after this film. In this film an ordinary NY cab driver attracts a famous supermodel, while in "Notting Hill(1999)" an ordinary book store owner attracts a superstar actress. In both movies they meet by chance.
This appears near the end of the film as an epilogue statement--"To the celebration of all slain hope."
