UK film critic Mark Kermode listed this movie at Number two for his Top 5 Worst Films of 2010 list.

Miranda Cosgrove was offered the role of Judy but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts.

The original idea for the movie that Lucas thought of, was Fred going on a road trip across the United States. However Varsity Pictures rejected the idea since they thought it would be too expensive.

The director confirmed the bacon taped to the wall in the bathtub scene was a direct reference to Gummo (1997).

Was originally getting a theatrical release in the US, but turned out to be a Nickelodeon original movie and went straight-to-television. It was released theatrically in the UK.
