For the 1986 edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival, this film was awarded 3rd Best Bicture and no other films were awarded second and first Best Picture.
The film is popularly known from its second segment title, Halimaw sa Banga.
It was in the film's trailer where they showed Matet De Leon looking inside the banga and said "takot ako, eh!" which eventually became the catch phrase for the film.
This is Christopher Leon's debut film.
