TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

When Hector visits the Himalayas, the flags are Tibetan prayer flags, whose colors represent the five elements. Health and harmony can be produced with the balance of all the elements. It is the belief that the wind will carry the prayers and mantras to provide good will and compassion to the surrounding areas.

Hector has several Tintin books and posters in his office, and his father also refers to him by his childhood nickname of Tintin. Simon Pegg previously appeared in The Adventures of Tintin (2011). Pegg bears a very close resemblance to Tintin.

Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike play a couple in this movie. They previously appeared together in The World's End (2013).

Hector's name spelled as "Hectar" was written by people in Africa who would be unaware of the English spelling. This is not common, as European names are very common in English-speaking Africa.

The second of two 2014 films to feature Toni Collette and Rosamund Pike, although they do not share the same scene here. The first was A Long Way Down (2014).
