TRIVIA

Trivia

While filming the fight scene about halfway into the movie, Dolph Lundgren pulled a hamstring in his leg while delivering a spinning back kick. Due to complications regarding his stunt double, he would have to perform much of the action in a great deal of discomfort.

US distributor Miramax removed 15 minutes for the film's stateside direct-to-video release through their Dimension Films division (this is this shorter version that was also released theatrically in France). A lot of character-development scenes were cut to make the film more action-orientated. During the end credits, the studio also removed composer Stefano Mainetti's excellent score and replaced it with the dance/house song from the night club scene.

In France, the movie was scheduled and advertised for a July 10th 1996 theatrical release but it was pushed back at the last minute to a week later (because of too many new releases).

It was initially taking place and set to be filmed in Paris, France and it was then rewritten to fit Prague.

Released theatrically in Europe (except Germany) and Egypt (among others).
