Hong Kong Superstars was never released due to copyright issues. It contained clips from many Hong Kong movies and the rights proved to expensive to clear.
Before running into copyright problems, Hong Kong Superstars planned UK release was sometime in 2001-2002 under the title Cinema of Vengeance 2.
Hong Kong Superstars started out as a printed magazine (edited by Chris Ducker and designed by Andy Prior) focusing on the Hong Kong film industry in the same vein as Eastern Heroes. This documentary was the magazine's first video production, and at the time hoped to follow in the footsteps of the Eastern Heroes Video Magazine's.
The Donnie Yen interview on the Eastern Heroes UK DVD of 'Drunken Tai Chi' was taken directly from the Hong Kong Superstars video. As of 2015 it's the only part of Hong Kong Superstars to be released publicly.
