Inside Man is the story of how a negotiator tries to please his way with a bank robber who has taken several people hostage. This Spike Lee crime thriller is unsettling. It makes one question what is right and what is wrong in a world filled with evils and inequalities. Not many will think that a thriller about a bank robbery gone wrong would instill such emotions, but this series manages to do just that. But the runtime of just four hours also seems too long for the poorly written story and average cinematography on screen. Creator Steven Moffat, known for his crime work, has failed to excite audiences with a lacklustre telling of something that has the potential to become something big. There are some top-notch and experienced actors who have sadly not been given justice despite their powerful performances. The addition of inappropriate comedic scenes make it even more unbearable to stream.
The typewriter in Jefferson Grieff's prison cell is made by Swintec; the cabinet is a clear plastic to show any contraband. These are still being manufactured specifically for prison populations as of 2023.
