IMDbPersonally, I don't like this movie, and I would rate it 3 out of 10. This movie doesn't interest me. Even by watching the movie gradually, it becomes boring instead of good. The acting was not on point, or, one could say, appropriate according to the role. The team was handing guns very badly, and it is clearly seen that they are not acting well. The reality that the American embassy in the Middle East is situated in the centre of a simple town and defended by a group of military personnel was amusing at first, but subsequently the embassy experiences an attack and no backup whatsoever arrives for 90 minutes, neither from the hosting country nor the US forces. Throughout the film, I witnessed my intelligence decrease. I don't recommend watching this movie. It was too boring for my taste. The storyline was cliche. Please Please Please don't watch this.
The plot is similar to that of 13 Hours (2016).
Dennis Haysbert reprises his role as Major Lincoln from the first Jarhead (2005).
It appears that two of the Marines on the Osprey are actually manikins dresses in full combat uniforms, including full face covering, as they never move nor change positions.
Director William Kaufman is himself ex-military, having served in the US Army.
This is a sequel in name only to the Jake Gyllenhaal/ Sam Mendes Jarhead (2005) film.
