• Story:
  In order to defend the unappreciative son of a mafia leader, preserve the life of his sole buddy, and reestablish his connection with his psychotic father figure, The Accident Man must once again defeat the world's best assassins. With the release of Scott Adkins' long-term passion project, Accident Man, in 2018, the Jesse Johnson and Scott Adkins express train accelerated to full speed. The plot, which was loosely based on an obscure British comic, was straightforward: Mike Fallon earns a profession by murdering people while frequently disguising his crimes as accidents. Adkins discovered a position with writer Stu Small that was ideal for showcasing both his martial arts prowess as well as a flair for comedy that few had previously given him credit (or the platform) for. In what was a truly entertainingly anarchic action movie full of fights and one-liners, Man didn't catch the wave it deserved for both Johnson and (especially) Adkins. It was everything an action fan could ask for in the undemanding world of straight-to-video action films, which are sadly becoming less and less common. Thankfully, Johnson and Adkins would garner greater attention with the subsequent Avengement.
