This was the last movie to be produced until Warner Bros. Animation produced the direct-to-video movie Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998) and Cartoon Network produced the movie Dexter's Laboratory: Ego Trip (1999) after the Time Warner merger in 1996.
The last Jonny Quest film to be produced and created by the original Hanna-Barbera until the Quest characters made a crossover appearance in Tom and Jerry: Spy Quest (2015) featuring Tom and Jerry. One more series was The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996) was produced and premiered on Cartoon Network until H-B studios closed down in 2001.
