The film has a scene in which several stars make guest appearances while appearing for the premiere of the movie Mother India. They include Dilip Kumar, Geeta Dutt, Guru Dutt, Kishore Kumar, Raaj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Sohrab Modi, Mohammed Rafi, Nargis, Nadira and Nimmi. Others seen include Kishore Kumar, Kumkum, Lata Mangeshkar, Mukri, Mohammad Rafi, Yakub, Naseem Banu & Kumari Naaz.

It is the only film in which the three Anand brothers - Dev, Chetan, and Vijay - acted together.

The song Khoya Khoya Chaand had a remix version in the movie Shaitan.

The song Teri Dhoom Har Kahi with Dev Anand and Rashid Khan a similar concept was later created between Kadar Khan and Jhonny Lever in the song Paisa Bolta Hai by Rakesh Roshan coincidentally that film was also named Kala Bazaar 1989.

Film based on black marketing of tickets outside Mumbai's cinema halls which also shows its craze and glory for movies in those days.
