The film was shot beautifuly in Switzealand lokations, including the very good Lata Mangeshkar song pyar ke liye bani main, was also picturised beatifuly. Naseerudin Shah looked good and acted very nice and the role was good & different.
Raman Kapoor was upset with Dev Anand. He felt Dev had not given him a fair deal in the film and edited out too many of his scenes.
Zeba Bhaktiar approached Dev Anand to play the lead role. Dev liked her but thought her look was not westernized enough.
Bharat Bhushan had a small role in this film, which was one of his last film.
In those days only Dev Anand dared to make a movie on true incidents, but now many films are made on true insidents. Dev Anand had started the trend before, some 20 years ago.
