This is Craig McCracken's first series to utilize a serialized narrative, and the first distributed exclusively to a streaming service.
Originally, seasons 2-3 were going to have 10 episodes each, much like season 1. However, Craig McCracken intentionally cut them down to 8 and 6 episodes respectively in order to cut out any filler and move forward the story faster.
It is clear that Fantos is a spoof of Thanos, although his armor resembles Galactus as does Erodious consuming planets.
