TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a few conditions before accepting the role of Kimble; he wanted Ivan Reitman to direct the film, he wanted a physical fitness theme, and he and Reitman wanted broken homes, child abuse and family life written into the script.

Of all his movies Arnold Schwarzenegger has stated this is his favorite role, as it was a departure from his typical action heroes, and he also loved working with the children.

Filmmakers recruited local Astoria kids to be extras in the school. They were paid $35 a day.

Pamela Reed had a lot of fun imitating Arnold Schwarzenegger with her accent. "Inside of an hour he was calling me 'my leetle Pemelah' and I was calling him 'my deah Ah-nold."'

Arnold Schwarzenegger claimed that when he first started working with the kids he "was sweating. I felt like the character in the movie."

Popular Dialogues

"Detective John Kimble: I have a headache. Lowell: It might be a tumor. Detective John Kimble: It's not a tumor! It's not a tumor. At all!"

"Low Life #1: So who are you, man? [Kimble racks his shot-gun] Low Life #1: Shit! [he scrambles out of the way just before Kimble blasts the couch apart] Detective John Kimble: I'm the party pooper."
