Rotten TomatoesMagic Mike's Last Dance is a drama film that follows the story a former stripper who is now running a furniture business, but decides to join his old crew for a final farewell performance. The movie features an ensemble cast of compelling characters, including Mike Lane, Zoe, Malcolm, and Giselle that all offer a pleasant screenplay. The movie's performances and emotional depth are quite touching and thought-provoking. The themes of nostalgia, friendship, and ageing are explored in a nuanced and realistic manner that allow you to immerse deeply into the plot and its characters. The film might not appeal to audiences who are not interested in a formulaic and cliched plot and the lack of innovation in writing. Overall, Magic Mike's Last Dance is an entertaining and reflective movie that offers a satisfying conclusion to the Magic Mike franchise.

The film was originally intended as a streaming-only release on HBO Max, but was shifted to a theatrical release in September 2022.
Thandiwe Newton was originally cast as the female lead and had shot at least a week's worth of scenes when she dropped out of the film, reportedly due to family reasons. Salma Hayek replaced her and reshot her scenes.
Director Steven Soderbergh returns to the franchise after the first movie. Gregory Jacobs was the director of the second movie.
This is the first Steven Sodenbergh film to be released exclusively in theatres since "Unsane" (2018). Previously, "The Laundromat" (2019) was given a 3 week theatrical release before it made its streaming premiere on Netflix.
As per usual, director Steven Soderbergh also serves as cinematographer (credited Peter Andrews) and editor (Mary Ann Bernard) of the film.
