Rajesh Khanna was very apprehensive to sign the film as Bokadia had told him Sunny Deol was also acting in it. It was only when Bokadia explained that Sunny Deol also had a special appearance and Rajesh would have no scenes with him, did Rajesh finally agree to do the film.
Rajesh Khanna makes a special appearance and refers an Elephant as Ramu.Paying tribute to his film Haathi Mere Saathi 1971.
Titled inspired from the song Main Teri Dushman from Nagina 1986 which also had Sridevi.
Producer K C Bokadia Director Vijay Reddy and actor Jackie Shroff came together again after the phenomenal success of Teri Meherbaniyan but could not repeat the same magic and this film proved only average at the box office.
When the film was announced in May 1987,Dharmendra, Sumeet Saigal,Anita Raj and Sonam were in the film. They were replaced by Rajesh Khanna,Sunny Deol and Jaya Pradha. Sonam's role was scrapped.
