This is the third adaptation of the A.J. Quinnell novel, following a 1987 film starring Scott Glenn and a 2004 film starring Denzel Washington.
The series is based on the first two books in A.J. Quinnell's series: 'Man on Fire' and 'The Perfect Kill'.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who plays the lead role of John Creasy, is also an executive producer on the series.
