The phrase "Metal up your ass", from the promotional posters, is in reference to the original November 1982 Metallica demo tape that bears a hand holding a sword, protruding out of a toilet.

The plot is similar to the Norwegian movie Los Bando, complete with finding a cellist as a bass player. It also had cameos from prominent Norwegian musicians such as Hank von Hell, among others.
